Welcome to the GCCYS Girls Basketball page. We hope that you find the information provided on this page useful. We believe that basketball is a wonderful developmental sport for young girls. Our goal as the GCCYS is to support our member programs and associated families to help girls learn foundational teamwork and healthy competitive behaviors.

FAQ
The girls basketball season will typically begin on the second weekend in November and run until Christmas Break. There is typically a two week break for Christmas. The league resumes the regular season over the first weekend in January. The girls season ending tournament for all grades typically takes place the third weekend in January. Games are played primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. There may be the occasional game on Friday evening and in rare cases, Thursday evening.
Yes, all of our referees are OHSAA certified. When the GCCYS was formed for the 2015-2016 season, the roster of referees was upgrade to only include certified referees to provide a better game experience for everyone involved.
